Looking within to find the true answers to the current global crisis

Below this entry is a 25-minute documentary-style video from the Global Oneness Project that was just posted the other day on YouTube that I just found. Chances are that it will begin its creators’ intended viral sweep, creating serious discussion and thought.

I watched it all the way through and want to express my thoughts, not necessarily as an endorsement of the organization who produced the film, but as an appreciation for the potential of such media to be used as a prod for more independent thinking and soul searching.

Though some of the people being interviewed give more pessimistic thoughts on the current times, I admire the strength behind some of the other thoughts on preserving and honoring individuality and respecting all identities.

Watching this film asks you to look within

The real answer lies in our interconnectedness, our deeply shared global hope, and our impassioned intent to not only promote, to to make strides toward ecological sustainability.

The film poses some pointed questions such as

• What if the world embodied our highest potential?
• What would it look like?
• As the structures of modern society crumble, is it enough to respond with the same tired solutions?
• Or are we being called to question a set of unexamined assumptions that form the very basis of our civilization?

This is a retrospective message, asking us to reflect on the state of the world and ourselves. How do we listen more closely to what is being asked of us at this time of unprecedented global transformation?
