Metaphysical spirituality: reaching beyond The Secret to true alchemy
The dog-eared little book of mine that I referred to in my last post gives more on how to go about working the law of attraction from a practical alchemist’s point of view. And it reminds me of another gem I read years ago, supposedly published from forgotten notes left behind on a flight (fictional license?). It’s called A Chance Encounter
But it also teaches this method, with a twist: that you mentally prepare yourself to train your replacement while you do an excellent job where you are. The philosophy is that your reputation and record recommends you highly to what you aspire.
When I applied what was in both of these little books, it seemed to unlock my own personal secret. I was able to easily move into the vocation of my calling. Magic? Not really. I retrained, while working with passion where I was. I saw myself being trained doing what I love as I trained someone to replace my (then) current position.
The Law of Attraction is just working in the practical sense…
As I worked in that certain way, someone I knew decided to gift me with tuition for the energy school of my choice. The school gave me a scholarship. Fellow students loved my work and later came to me as clients. I met and mentored with a Master Spiritual Coach. All this while working at the same little mundane job at the same company where I was still earning the bulk of my living there.
Then things shifted. A merger. A new team at the same company whose philosophy was to provide all colleagues, not just management, with personal development training by highly qualified teachers, and onsite mentoring with truly generous beings.
I reached the point that I realized I was larger than my position, even though my company still claimed to need me to continue at that position. Then things conspired to change my life forever. I was shipped out of that position by circumstances beyond my control, and while finding my sea legs, remembered my real work as I had first imagined it.
My remembrance, and the act of ‘hanging a shingle over the door’ declaring I was in business was my answer to that call. And it all came together. As if I had been doing it forever.
That was a half decade or more ago, and I’ve never looked back. When you feel you are being called, my best advice is to answer from where you are the best way you know how. And always ask the True Alchemist within, “What is my next best step in this process?” Then just go within, listen… pay close attention… and as the Master said, “go and do likewise.”
