Clearing the Tyrant Ego
Aspects of the information I’ve posted here come from the types of sessions I do, yet are fictional, impersonal and for teaching purposes only.
From my text on spiritual healing
I’ve kept this excerpt short and generic to give you an idea of what a session can be like. No two are the same, I use different techniques depending on the focus. A soul reading would follow, and is also unique for each person.
Before and sometimes again during a session I facilitate a gentle energy clearing. It can include a teaching, and in this case it’s on the tyrant ego. That’s a rejected aspect of self that is normally hidden but which you face during difficult or upsetting times either in yourself or another.
Carl Jung taught about the “shadow”,* or hidden side of the human soul, saying that 90% of this unseen self is “golden”. The tyrant ego, then, as it is termed for this type of spiritual energy clearing, is only part of the remaining 10% of that hidden nature, though it can seem larger when aroused.
So my teaching is about how you can facilitate its healing, whether for yourself or a loved one, and this is an excerpt of that teaching. The full method for transforming the rejected part of the shadow (also known as the not self, the tyrant ego, among many other terms) is reserved for students using this text book in my. My work includes other spiritual clearing methods that I have developed and used over the years.
Setting the intention
We’ll start with a general invocation, and then one for the golden light and violet flame. We’ll ask that you get a good clearance before we begin the session:
What I intend to do now is call for a violet energy clearance on just about everything including ancestral records. So just relax and know that every word that I speak can be yours. We’ve done this action before. So now you can just rest and if you agree with the words you will kind of feel them reverberating in your own heart as if you were speaking them:
[Invocations for the energy clearance]
Reading of the energy
This action can be taken any time you like. Know that you may return to this process and continue it as often as you desire it. This is kind of like the capstone of the day of your feelings. And this is that light that nobody can put into you because it’s already there.
I wanted to give you that opportunity to bathe in light before I give you this thought about what is going on with your daughter. The name that I have for it is the tyrant ego. Other people may have told you that it’s her dweller on the threshold. These are just words for something that everyone has, yet it is just an aspect of an archetype such as the inner god or goddess, the inner mother or father, and the inner child. This one is the immature part of your daughter’s inner child that just doesn’t want to give in to any kind of correction. What I mean by that is any correcting of the course.
And so it forms a conglomerate of that type of energy over time, and it just kind of grows. It becomes sometimes just a little bit beyond any one of the archetypes. It can become entwined with an archetype into its own thought-form of itself, as if it had its own life and was in control of everything. And what your daughter is doing is resisting your correction of her, even though it is what you as her mother are meant to do. So you are on the receiving end of that energy, and it’s no fun.
And, yes, of course this is not uncommon, yet as a parent going through that, it feels so totally bizarre for you to see that before your eyes. It’s like a scene from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a transformation of the child in your life. It makes you ask, ‘How, when and where did this come from?’ It just catches you off guard.
And that is what happened this week. You had that lovely weekend away, you returned in that state of almost bliss and then, wham, you were just totally caught off guard. You see, that tyrant aspect of the ego is very smart; it knows just when to catch you like that. It is not truly your daughter, either. It’s just the energy that she’s sort of enslaved by right now. It’s gotten so big for her in this time of her stretching out in her awareness.
How old is she?
Oh now she’s 18.
Okay, but it started in the puberty years and now you’re seeing the full momentum as it gathered itself up to the age of 18. This is right about when it really starts to peak and be really out there. And it says, ‘Nyah-nyah, nyah-nyah, you can’t touch me.’ Basically it bugs you and that’s what’s going on. It’s not like it’s even activated your own inner tyrant, because you’re just being the parent, you just want to know what is going on.
I also want to tell you that what we have is a powerful process that we can do, spiritually. We ask permission of the soul if she wants to be involved. And it’s unique if the soul doesn’t grant permission to go through a process.
First of all, I don’t know how much you were given on how some people choose to treat this type of troublesome energy. They see it as what theosophy spoke of as the dweller on the threshold and then commence to somehow miraculously cast it out as if it were a separate entity.
Well, that is like spiritual amputation, not a practice to be entered lightly, if at all. Certainly reputable spiritual physicians find another way to deal with it than the more harsh means. I do not use such methods nor can in good conscience recommend them. It is, after all, a part of our being. It’s an aspect of one of our archetypes, albeit one that has gotten out of hand, but I’m not into casting it out or using any kind of force.
Because in reality, you can’t cut off a part of your being. If you could, it would just keep growing back, like the hydra-headed monster, and you would just have another head to cut off, and then another. So to even try would create an energy imbalance and it can be damaging over time.
So in this case I feel it’s healthier to ask the soul to participate in transforming its own tyrant ego. I know that you are happier with a more transformational love vibration and not wanting to stir things up. And, as I said, it’s already stirred up by itself, and that’s enough for you.
I realize some people relish a challenge and can justify doing spiritual battle, spiritual warfare if you will, on a part of a their own being. All that is really not your way, that’s just not who you are.
What is going to be more powerful for you is to work with your magic wand, work with the transformation aspect of that wand.
So that is just a little peek at the type of work I do, and that I teach. I will add more snippets on this blog from time to time, so keep watching for updates. * Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual’s conscious life, the blacker and denser it is. …it is constantly in contact with other interests, so that it is continually subject to modifications. But if it is repressed and isolated from CONSCIOUSNESS, it never gets corrected, and is liable to burst forth suddenly in a moment of unawareness. At all counts, it forms an unconscious snag, thwarting our most well-meant intentions. (Jung in Samuels, Shorter and Plant:1998: 138, capitalization in original.)
